The Siva Discord Bot prioritizes security and adheres to best practices, ensuring that only essential permissions necessary for the flawless operation of the Engage2Earn ecosystem are requested.

Explanation of Permissions

1. Manage Roles

The "Manage Roles" permission is essential for the token-gate feature, a functionality within Siva that assigns Discord roles to users based on their current holding of assets.

Experienced Discord admins can choose to revoke this permission if they don't intend to use the token-gate feature or if they've implemented another system for managing roles based on asset holdings. However, it's important to reinstate the permission if the token-gate feature of Siva will be utilized or reactivated in the future.

2. Read Messages

Since Engage2Earn relies on interactions such as writing messages, Siva Bot requires the "Read Messages" permission to accurately track engagements.

3. Send Messages

"Slash Commands" are utilized to manage Siva Bot directly within Discord. These commands provide information such as a user's balance (command: /balance). To ensure smooth functionality, Siva Bot requires the "Send Messages" permission.

4. Embed Links

Users can choose to withdraw µSIVA to various Crypto Currencies and Tokens. We promote our partners and provide additional value for users, giving them easy access to further details about projects, by embedding Links to the website of supported projects. For these Links to work, Siva Bot requires "Embed Links" permission.

5. Attach Files

The "Attach Files" permission is utilized to display indicators for Mintpass activation. This permission is not enabled by the Mintpass but is necessary to visually represent the activation status by sending a small image of the detected Pass.

6. Read Message History

In Discord, messages might not always be readily available in the cache. Given that the Sivacoin Ecosystem rewards message authors when users add reactions, it requires the "Read Message History" permission. This permission allows Sivacoin to fetch messages on-the-fly, even if they are not cached, ensuring that authors are rewarded promptly for their contributions.

7. Use External Emoji

Granting this permission enables the display of the animated icon within the Siva UI.
